Mesa Vista Middle and High school welcomes you to the home of the Trojans! Located in Ojo Caliente, our school is part of the high desert of northern New Mexico--an area known for its fantastic spring waters. With moderate temperatures throughout the seasons, we’re in a great location to live and educate our students, and we’re glad to share it with you.

Our middle and high school is home to nearly 250 students. We’re fortunate to guarantee that students will receive the individualized attention needed to succeed. We have one teacher for every 12 students and we offer many enriching educational programs and sports teams for extra curricular participation. Please take time to become familiar with our school’s programs and events. Many of your questions will be answered as you learn about us. Don’t hesitate to call us either. Mesa Vista Middle and High School staff is one of pride, motivation, and high expectations.  Our teachers are Highly Qualified and they continue to refine their skills on a daily basis regarding best practices to assure that every child learns to the best of their abilities. 

Mesa Vista students are continually striving for excellence.  They are highly motivated, responsible, and continue to learn everyday why it is important to do their very best in everything they do.

I am a firm believer that every student can learn, and each student learns differently.  Our teachers keep up to date on the everyday changes in education; as we are committed to helping our students achieve academic success.

Even though No Child Left Behind (NCLB) has many gaps; the principal of the idea has brought about great changes in education.  It has created accountability at all levels, resulting in better administrators, better teachers and better students.  Everyone is clear on the expectations.

We encourage all of our parents to become involved in the initiatives of our school in a positive manner. We need to establish a strong partnership with our parents to help us achieve our goal of making Mesa Vista Middle and High School a High Performing School.

It is my hope that the students of Mesa Vista Middle and High School continue to do well each day, even after they leave; applying the skills, knowledge and discipline that they’ve learned to their own lives, creating a safe, and healthy environment for themselves.
